This popular heritage venue is owned and managed by Coalisland & District Development Association and is on the site of the former Coalisland Weaving Factory.

This permanent exhibition tells the story of the industrial heritage of Coalisland and East Tyrone. Visitors can discover the history of the local coal mines, factories, canals, spade mills and brickworks. Please contact us to book a visit.

These are the original audio guides for “Coalisland Experience” which use local actors to tell the story of Coalisland’s industrial history.

The exhibition was first opened back in 1993 by Mary Robinson, President of Ireland at the old Corn Mill building.  It was eventually moved to the Coalisland Enterprise Centre and is currently managed by the Coalisland & District Development Association.
